Childhood dreams come true
Even as a child, I dreamed of setting up a life farm to enable animals to live on instead of certain death.
The beginnings of my commitment to animal welfare
My “career” in animal welfare began at the age of 15 when I rescued a rabbit from an animal testing laboratory with friends. My animal-loving father also rescued wild animals and nursed them back to health, which further strengthened my love of animals. I shared my nursery with various small animals that found their way to me – much to my mother’s chagrin.
From renovation to a living farm
In August 2015, I moved into an old villa in Wörgl, which was in need of a thorough renovation, including the neglected garden. After repairing the garden, I started building a coop and got the first chickens from the chicken rescue.
The creation of Sitara’s Life Place
The story of Sitara’s Life Place began when a good friend from an animal welfare organization asked me to take in two baby goats. With each additional animal that was added, the barn was rebuilt and expanded.
The current situation
In the meantime, we have leased three stables at the site itself and an open stable with paddock and spacious pasture on a farm on the Angerberg, which provide a home for between 30-40 animals.
